Donating blood
is a vital way to help save lives. Along
with helping save lives, there are a number
of reasons why donating blood is important.
A single donation can save three lives.
Blood is the most precious gift that anyone
can give to another person. Therefore to
create awareness, NSS unit, The KYDSCT’s
Institute of Management and Science,
Sakegaon in association with Red Cross
Society, Jalgaon conducted a Blood Donation
Camp in 24th March, 2023. There was good
response from donors and volunteers in this
pandemic situation also. Around 100 Blood
Donors donated 350ml – 450ml of the blood. A
certificate of appreciation and refreshment
was given to each donor as a token of
gratitude. The slogan for the Blood Donation
Camp was “Donate your blood and be a hero”.
volunteers volunteered for the event and
also donated the blood.
They also encouraged students, faculty
members to donate blood. The blood bags
collected were given to Red Cross Society,
Jalgaon. After the donor donates blood he
was provided with immediate help by
volunteers by giving him tea, coffee, fruity
and banana. |
